Treatment Fees:
My fees are lower than other practitioners treating in private patient rooms, because I remember what it was like needing acupuncture treatments but having a limited income as a teacher with children. Also, today’s economy makes it extra difficult for many people.
When I started school I made 2 commitments: 1. I would spend time with patients, really listen to them, and not rush out the door to see the next one. I hated how that felt as a patient. 2. I would keep my fees low enough, so everyone could afford treatments. Acupuncture almost always takes multiple treatments to be really effective, though some patients see improvement after just one treatment. If you need to make monthly payments in order to be treated, that is not a problem. I don’t want to turn anyone away because of money.
Acupuncture Treatments are $40.00.
There is a one-time, initial charge of an additional $10.00 ($50.00 total) for the first visit, because of the time (1 and a ½ to 2 hours) and paperwork involved. The total charge after that is an affordable $40.00, about the cost of a co-pay for some people. To keep my fees low, I do not take insurance at this time or credit cards (cash or check accepted).
The average price for an acupuncture treatment in St. Petersburg in a private-room setting is $60.00-$125.00. For an initial visit many charge $120.00. These fees are understandable: schooling for Traditional Chinese Medicine is very expensive, and the fees are comparable to other professions that require 4 years of postgraduate school. I have simply chosen a different way. I want everyone to experience the amazing healing benefits of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. As Mahatma Ganhdi said, “You have to be the change you want to see in the world.”
Tui Na, Gua Sha, Cupping are sometimes incorporated into the acupuncture treatment session. When this happens (at my discretion with your consent), there is generally not an extra fee. If these modalities are used alone in longer sessions, the fee will not exceed $40.00.
Blue Poppy Formulas are $25.00 (plus tax). Herbal Times herbal formulas are $12.00 (including tax).
GUNA advanced homeopathic combination formulas vary in price, but most are $25.00.
Liniments and Blue Poppy ointments are $10.00-$15.00.
Because my practice has become quite busy, I no longer offer Qigong classes. I do, however, often show my patients qigong exercises after their treatments at no charge.
See Modalities on the Home Page for more information about Qigong, Tui Na, Gua Sha, and Cupping.
