I had been suffering from perimenopausal migraines for a year and a half. They were so severe that they stopped me from doing anything for days and days. I had gone to a neurologist, gynecologist, chiropractors, kinesiologist, and internal medicine doctors. I had blood work and MRI’s and every test imaginable. Pain medication and Valium didn’t do anything. I was referred to Paul De Lucia by a neighbor who had seen incredible improvements.

Since then I haven’t had one migraine! He has given me massage, acupuncture and herbal medicine that combined finally solved my problem. I was squeamish about getting the needles, but his kind gentle manner made it just fine. Also, I had him try acupuncture on a ball of painful scar tissue from foot neuroma surgery. I was unable to walk without pain. I was advised to take steroids, but I couldn’t because of the migraines. Paul was able to dissolve the tissue with his treatments. I am also very grateful because his prices are very reasonable. My husband has been laid off for more than a year now, but we were able to try these treatments because it was inexpensive.

My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for a year and a half. We had even gone to see a fertility doctor to be tested. Besides some life style changes, they suggested that my husband take vitamins to increase his sperm health. They were not very specific in what exactly to take and how much. We really wanted to avoid conception through fertility treatments. So we thought we would first try acupuncture. It can be pretty expensive though, so I decided to do some research online and that is how I found Paul DeLucia. His prices were more than fair and he provided services for infertility. It was a wonderful experience. He spent a lot of time getting to know us and assessing our problem areas. His first focus was to give my husband a list of specific vitamins and amino acids and their doses to take on a daily bases. He also gave us both a list of things to avoid and advice on food choices. This was very helpful. We had never been given any specifics from the fertility doctor. When my husband retested all counts went up dramatically. Funny enough the fertility doctor still suggested we come in, they wanted to put me on Clomid! I thought … what! … we just made tremendous progress, no way!

We were both taking vitamins (I was given herbs as well) and were being treated with acupuncture once a week. We would consult with Paul before each session to see how we were doing. I really liked that he took the time to talk with us and make suggestions when need be. His treatment focused on the mind and body. With in a month in a half we were pregnant! Crazy enough we ended up pregnant with twins! It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Paul to anyone with any trouble area. He is very attentive to his patients and really pays attention in order to successfully treat them.

Three months ago, I stepped into Dr. Paul De Lucia’s office, knowing I had done right for my physically struggling and emotionally depressed state of being. After years on antidepressants and having to deal with bouts of depression so severe, I became fixated from time to time on my own death.

When I first stepped into Dr. De Lucia’s office, that was my condition.

I was taking 300 mgs of a generic antidepressant a day, still suffering from daily migraine attacks, and had little energy required for teaching or for writing. As a college professor and author, I was concerned that the pain and darkness that I found myself struggling to get out of would eventually consume me. In the past, Western medicine had helped me, and still does to some extent, but this time I understood something deep down. Thus I began the process of finding an acupuncture doctor that I could trust, a doctor not just of Chinese medicine, but one who understood the processes involved in healing, one who walked the very path of his practice. I didn’t want a corporate doctor. I wanted one who was spiritually intertwined with his path.

Dr. De Lucia talked with me. He listened to me. Examined me. And then explained everything to me so I could understand and assist in my own healing process.

As a result of Dr. De Lucia’s treatments and wisdom, I feel reconnected with myself and my own path of trying to do good for this world through my teaching and writing and day to day living. I had severe lower back pains due to a snowmobile accident in 1970, which I aggravated 2 years ago removing something from the trunk of my car. The pain radiated down the side of my leg. I couldn’t have an operation because of a medical condition. I couldn’t have cortisone because I’m diabetic. I couldn’t stand or walk for long. I couldn’t go places like I used to. I would wake up in the middle of the night with back pain. I was taking 2 Tylenol Arthritis pills 6-8 times a day. Stronger pain pills nauseated me.
